French and Spanish World Language Department Traveled to Europe
A group of 40 students from the Charter Oak High School's French and Spanish World Language Department traveled to Italy, Monaco, France, and Spain for Spring Break.
Students explored Cinque Terre, Italy via train and tasted homemade pasta and pizza for the first time! From Italy, they ventured to Monaco and visited the Prince's Palace, the Cathedral and then tou red the French perfume factory on the French Riviera in Eze. Students continued to Nice
wearing their fragrance sample and upon arrival in Nice were able to order their lunch in French! Highlights in Nice included its charming old town, the flea/antique market, beautiful beaches, and tasting escargot! Then students took in the French and Spanish Countryside and traveled via coach into Spain. In Barcelona, they enjoyed a guided tour of the Sagrada Familia, Montjusïc Hill, Barrio Gótico, and the Barcelona Cathedral. They joined
the Spanish locals and walked Las Ramblas, took a city tour on bike, enjoyed tapas and paella, and went to a Flamenco!
